Setup Requirements
For the safety of our customers and installation crew, tents cannot be installed over or around:
- Trees, bushes, or landscaping
- Furniture or other solid objects
- Vehicles
- Dirt or mud
- Second-story decks
- Overhead power lines
- Low or overhanging tree branches
- Gazebos, patio covers, or other overhead structures
The entire setup area must be clear prior to our arrival.
Grass Setup & Staking
When installing on grass, we may use stakes up to 36 inches long to safely anchor the tent.
All underground utilities and irrigation lines must be clearly marked before our crew arrives.
This includes sprinkler lines, electrical lines, gas lines, plumbing, septic systems, or any other underground utilities.
The customer is responsible for identifying and marking these areas prior to installation.
Concrete Setup & Water Barrels
When installing on concrete or another surface where staking is not permitted, water barrels may be required to properly anchor the tent.
The customer must provide:
- An accessible water source within 50 feet of the setup area
- Adequate drainage for disposing of the water after the event
If water barrels cannot be used at your location, please contact Grand Party Rentals before booking so we can discuss alternative anchoring options.
Additional anchoring fees may apply.
Permits
The customer is responsible for obtaining any permits or approvals required by the city, county, venue, property owner, or other governing authority.
We recommend checking permit requirements before booking your tent, especially for large tents, public events, parks, schools, churches, and commercial properties.
Weather & High Wind Policy
Safety is our priority.
Grand Party Rentals reserves the right to delay, cancel, discontinue, or remove a tent installation when weather conditions create a potential risk of injury or property damage.
In the event of extreme weather or unsafe wind conditions, we may be unable to install the tent. If Grand Party Rentals determines that the tent cannot safely be installed due to weather, the applicable weather cancellation/rain-check policy will apply.
Tents are not designed to serve as shelters during severe weather.
Guests must evacuate the tent during high winds, thunderstorms, lightning, or other dangerous weather conditions and move to a safe permanent structure.
